This may be my first year at MW. Wanted to come last year but just to much going on at work.
How is security during the events and at the event hotels? Any hotel recommendations that have good/great overnight security.
I attended a show last year and there was no real security and kids with no parents were climbing on cars and getting in them. Even with the car owners around. It made a lot of people very unhappy.
At another event we even left our cars sitting in the car show area overnight as they had around the clock security that stayed with the cars.
I was asking this as I would really hate to have to repaint my Mystichrome Cobra.
Thanks to all who respond.

75% of the hotels have 24 hr security and very secure parking decks, depending on where you stay. I have NEVER seen or heard of a problem like you described at the event that you attended. The day of the car show is the only day that or a few hours that a person vehicle can not be moved once it is placed to be juged. After the cars have been rated and the car show is over the owner can do what ever he or she likes with the car. There were 2 Mystichrome Cobras in the show last year and no one had one complaint. I can understand how you feel about your car and the cost of a Mystichrome paint job.

Not really worried about people touching it. It just seems SOME people take their kids to a car show and just turn them loose unsupervised. My 5 year old daughter has went with us to shows and loves to. BUT she knows NO touching any car except ours. She knows you carry or have nothing in your hands around the cars. In fact at last years Bristol FFW she helped get our car together and asked to help others.
Another note. How far is the Sheraton away from the beach. That way I can let my wife and daughter go to the beach while I go to events. ;) It would work out great. Thanks everybody for the responses.

If I remember correctly, somebody correct me if I'm wrong but the beach is about 3 blocks from the ocean. It sounds like you have trained your daughter very well.

Thanks. We try our best. That is one of the first things we taught her. Respect others stuff. Cars, homes, toys and etc. Hopefully she remembers all this when she gets older.
