I know everyone is chomping at the bit to get registered but we ask everyone to be patient with us. Remember, we are now a staff of four. Bill Jones handled everything about the car show and now Scott Morgan is taking on that duty. My hats off to Scott and Jen for taking that challenge! Registration will open online soon. Just keep checking.

Also, we ask that everyone remember that Mustang Week was originally intended to be a very, very laid back atmosphere without all the stress of the typical car show. We really hope that everyone try to help us make Friday's car show as stress-free as possible. Here are a couple things that would really, really help us out.

1. Don't arrive and try to get onto the show field before it is scheduled to open. (watch the forums for more info as we get closer)
2. Be patient with the volunteers that are parking cars.
3. Relax and have fun!

The volunteers last year were very helpful, this year will be the same as last year I hope. I was only a display last year, but this year I hope to be taking home a trophy :)

SVTOA has done open there Registration....

What SVTOA is doing is independent of our judged Car Show. (FYI, The SVTOA folks can be registered for both.)

We have asked that folks be patient. We are completely revising the way we handle registration for the car show. In doing so, we hope that it will make coming into the show field much, much easier on participants, volunteers, and the Staff.

We know that everyone is standing on edge waiting for registration to open. We know it will sell out fast. We are not going to open it before we are completely ready. It will be very soon so just hang in there with us a couple of days.

The main thing that concerns the four of us Staff at this point is the stress that the Car Show seems to bring on participants. Mustang Week was created to be a very fun, laid-back celebration. Let's try to keep it fun and not stress so much over the show.

Me and a friend (UGOTBIT) of mine from near home handle/operate the Dragnight Shootout. We talked about it a bit on Saturday. We are hoping for a good turnout. He started a thread about it in the events forum so check that out as well.

ManOwar..you just trying to seek out the next victim? I have heard about the horses in that stable.

Truth is I would like to but I have never been drag racing before. I have my car setup for road racing but I will probably give it a shot.

As of right now "if" I get the time between both of my jobs to get the pile of parts in the garage on the Cobra in time I hope to, but with helping Brad run the event time may be a factor for me to get a few passes. But we will see. For the most part I hope to but time and $$$ will tell.

This is the event I'm looking forward to the most next to the BIG SHOW. Working out of the country doesn't let me run it like I want to so this is an added bonus to what's bound to be the best vacation this year (and we just got back from the Maldives). I'm just hoping for good conditions!;)
