Hey guys! I thought i would start a little somthing here for all who are new to MW. This is my first year that i will be attending, also my first big mustang event i have been to. I am coming from Fayetteville Ga and will be trailering my car. Does anyone have any helpfull hints or advice before everyone heads up there?
I have one to start off with. I will be staying at the PATRICIA GRAND hotel. Anyone know anything about them? I picked them because they seemed to be the only ones on the beach with a place to park the truck and trailer. They also had good rates.
Do everything you can and enjoy it, its the best week there is. Myrtle Beach is a really good vacation spot so enjoy everything there is to offer down there as well

PATRICIA GRAND....I stayed there 2 years ago....& parked my trailer. The trailer parking area is actually just a vacant lot on the main road. I don't think the Patricia Grand owns it. But it's just 1 block from the Blvd. Easy 1 minute walk. Park your trailer & then just get a pass for your car & park it on the deck. I had NO trouble.

Patricia grand sucked IMO. If you car is lowered, your not getting in the garage. Even the lady behind the counter told us about break ins in the garage. My 06 and a friends 02 Saleen would lift in the air when our exhaust hit the tops of the inclines. We checked out of that hotel 1 hour after checking in. And went to the sheraton. Been staying there since. Safer, only like 1 block from the beach. And parking garage is the best. Oh, and as far as trailer parking. The sheraton has a full back parking lot that gets security checking it out. Theres where everyone keeps there trucks/trailers. And as far as the Patricia Grand. Good luck.
Mustang week is def. the best week out of the year. It is very laid back and everyones friendly. This is my second year going down and its an annual vacation from now on. You will have a blast

How low are we talking here? I have an inch and a half in the front and a inch in the back on a 2005 mustang gt.

Well, I'm gonna have to try & make it work cause I'm booked there. My car is lowered so it sounds like I would have a problem. I'll have to leave it locked in the trailer at night I guess.

Or go the redneck way like I have done a few times use some 2x6 pieces of wood about 14 inches long and drive over them, that is if there is enough room. It has worked for me in the past.

By deck, do you mean parking garage? If so, no. They seem only big enough for 1 car to go up and down at a time

Yeah thats what i mean. Ok well i will figure somthing out when we get there. If the car don't make it then i will have to keep it locked up and covered up on the trailer.

I'm also a first timer and am looking forward to it. Coming from Tampa and driving the beast up. I just hope to learn and get ideas about future mods and meet good people. Should be easy to do from what I've read so far.

The best way I can describe it is, like Disney for Mustang Freaks! Except the people are much nicer! hehe It's kinda like a big family. Just come ready to have a great time, and see more cool Stangs than you can imagine!

This is my first year as well. I actually live here in Myrtle Beach, and work at Colonial, needless to say, I was seriously tortured last year during a particular week....and by August I had my own....I couldn't take it any longer, and now, I will be a part of it!! MWAAAAAAAA *runs around crazy*
Just being here, and talking with everyone, just tells you how big of a community it really is,and how laid back, and welcoming everyone is, there is not a doubt in my mind that, being in this wonderful community, and us all being together, will be a very unforgettable and majorly enjoyable event!! I can't wait!!!
(Also good knowing I've got a week off and my co-workers...will be working....hahahah) *cough*
this will be my 3rd year coming down, and finally I'm down with the same stang haha. Its a blast, everybody is so nice and welcoming, and what I always find is the coolest is that every stang I see throws a nice rev and a thumbs up my way and I return the same, its a cool treat to have respect for all the stangs around.
