I am a student from McMichael High School in Mayodan, NC and I really want to come to Mustang Week this year. My teacher and I plan to bring our '88 fox body stang but he is staying at his personal condo and doesnt have any room. I really need to find a place to camp because of my lack of money. I plan to come on wednesday and stay hopefully until Saturday. I should have enough money for my food and gas, but I wont have any to spare for a hotel. I would be very appreciative of some help or ideas on what I can/should do. I will be driving my truck down, but I would really like to AVOID sleepin In my truck lol and maybe camp out somewhere.

We camp at Pirateland Family Campground, but we are in a 37 foot 5th wheel trailer.

The rates at the campground are much less per night than the hotels. There are several campgrounds in the area and probably have even cheaper rates if you are just camping in a tent.

way too hot in July to camp in a regular tent for the week. Good luck with that!

With a camper (typically pull-behind and motorhomes) you can stay in a WalMart parking lot all night with no problems. They welcome it actually. The local WalMart near me (being just off I-95) normally has anywhere between 3-10 motorhomes per night. I don't think they'd really want you pitching a tent though?

We may have room for yah in one of our rooms, but you'd have to help pick up trash with us on Fri and Sat. Let me know. Joel

Staying 10 nights ocean front at a campground for 213 bucks... you can find a hotel cheaper then that for that many nights??

The only thing is I only have enough money for my food and gas and some souveniers, so I wont have any money for a place to stay
