Well, Mustang Week 2009 is almost here! As some of you may recall, last year we had a fellow wandering around the parking lot taking photos of cars and selling t-shirts/photos etc. I won't mention the name but it ended up being a big scam. We would like to avoid that type of thing this year at all cost.

We are asking all of you to make sure to only do business with authorized vendors and sponsors at Mustang Week. One way to quickly tell if someone is legit is if they are wearing their vendor/sponsor hang-tag. The last thing we need is for the County to come down on us because someone is selling goods/services without the proper permits. If you run across someone or if someone approaches you and is not an official vendor/sponsor please search out and find one of the four MW Staff and let us know ASAP. We'll take care of things from there.

Thanks for helping us out!

We have great vendors and sponsors and we want to make sure that they are getting the business they deserve for helping us with Mustang Week. Also, we want to protect the participants and spectators. We just ask that folks keep the eyes/ears open and let us know if you see anyone selling without proper permit/permission.

Agreed. My last purchases have been from MW Sponsors. I made sure to tell them so too.

He was selling wihout permission from the MW Staff so it was a scam! He caused them all a lot of extra grief. It is amazing how these guys avoid long term MW supporters like me as I would have turned him in quickly.

City's want there money and will come after u like crazy, if they think they are missing out on something. Plus u want good stuff, not like at concerts where the hacks are out there selling wash it once shirts and check the oil with it next time.

You were one of the lucky ones then. Most were very upset with what they got for the $ they spent. I was the Staff member dealing directly with that guy and he never once felt as if he'd done anything wrong.

Long story short.... if you are out there selling anything without a permit you are breaking the law and putting MW Staff in a very bad position.
