I own a 2004 SVT Cobra with the following mods.....SLP LM1 catback exhaust, MGW shifter, JLT RAI, predator tune (stock pulley), LFP intercooler and i am running 305/35/18 Nitto DR'S out back. What should i expect from my car going down those magical 1320 feet?  Appreciate any input and cant wait till MW 2009!!!

It really depends on how you launch the car? I have seen cars with "like"mods run 11.75-12.15's. How mush PSI in the DR's?

right now the PSI is whatever nitto called for but i can take air out at the track and add air after the runs. What would you suggest for the 1/4 ? I have never ran this car down the track. It only has 26K miles on the odometer. I figure it has been a "garage queen" long enough!! Now it's time too have some fun. Thanks for the replies.

On my 92GT With Nitto Dr's which is a 15" rim I ran 12-14 psi in them and the car hooked very well. I would let at least 5-8 psi out of them to start out and thm go from there. I know the feeling about the keeping it stock long enough, our 03 Cobra has 30,000 on it, the mods are piled up in the garage right now and are still coming in. I hope I can get them on and tested before MW09!

I want to put a smaller pulley on the eaton but down here in south Ga their aint anyone who i trust with tuning it. I have been in contact with rick over at amazon and everybody says good things about his work. I know their going to be attending this year and he said he could install it and tune it at MW. How can he tune it away from his shop? Portable dyno? Another shop? How much of a difference would a 2.76 pulley make on my car? The pulley on my car now is the stock size. Thanks for your help.

Pulley , tune and 100mm idler set up, new belt, would be good. Rick has tuned so many Cobra's he would have a tune for about any set up. I think your adding about 2 lbs of boost or so. I'm sure Rick would probably turn off the boost by pass which would help also. With the IRS the launch is all so important. Any wheel hop be sure to get off the throttle!! If you do not have the billet flow brace for your differential, I would suggest that before running it or spending any other mod money on the car. I can speak from experience to the tune of about $2300 woth of damage! The driver mod is most important! I have an '04 with a Whipple and 315 MT ET Streets.

As far as a tuner goes, I presonally and highly reccommend Pro Dyno and not to mention that they are a MW Sponsor as well http://www.prodyno.net Pro Dyno will be the ONLY people who tune my car ever period! The 2.76 pulley will make a big difference.......but alot more heat as well. But that can be fixed but a port job on the Eaton. But a shot of N20 is the best bang for the buck on a postive displacement(Eaton). The reason why I say N20 is because of the cooling effects and power increases as well. I have seen a few 03/04 Cobra's run a 125 shot on a 03 Cobra with a Mac cat back, Steeda CAI make 475 rwhp and 540rwtq to me that is pretty impressive.

The IRS Brace is deff a must for any 03/04 Cobra or 99/01 Cobra!

Rick and Dan are both good at what they do. I was just responding off his post about Amazon. Yes Pro-Dyno is a MW Sponsor and I respect and appreciate that very much. I have had my Cobra on Dan's Dyno more than once. Rick and Lynn are at MW each year and have contributed much to the Stang community.

i have thought about going that route as well BUT you hear all of these horror stories about nitrous. Some say yes and some say no. This kits better than that one and so on, etc.........I will admit that it would be nice to have a 125 shot of juice on stand by for the " needed moments ". What kit is chosen more often for the 03 / 04 Cobras?

Over the years I have heard of and seen first hand the horror stories about N20 kits. But I have come to realize that most of the problems with N20 come from being installed wrong, like people not using filters before the solonids, using teflon tape instead of teflon paste and the list goes on and on. If N20 is installed right with all th right parts in the right places, it is hard to beat. I run this kit and love it http://www.holley.com/02120NOS.asp the kit is a model specfic kit for the 03/04 Cobra.

or lack their of i should say. We are going to head out on the 19th around 0700 hrs. I dont think we have any specific route we are going to take. More than likely we will just look it up on mapquest and go from there. I'm sure alot of us will come together at some point near Myrtle Beach and thunder in together. Where are most of yall staying at? We looked at the sheraton of course but for just a bit more money we found a 3 BR condo called the long bay resort and booked it. If memory serves me right i beleive it's about 4 miles north of the convention center. With my brothers 2 children coming the condo had a few more " kid friendly " ammenities to it. I dont care what they do. I am going to be getting mod ideas from my fellow mustang brothers. Cant wait!!!!
