I just found out about Mustang Week and I am thinking of driving down from Connecticut. What should expect when I am there as far as things to do? How hard is to get a hotel at that time of year? From what i have seen it looks like it would be fun to drive there & hang out with fellow Stangers. Any info would be appreciated.

There are events both official and "unofficial" every day of the week.
Monday: pre-meet-n greet
Tuesday: meet-n-greet
Wed. : Myrtle Beach Speedway
Thurs. : Darlington Dragway
Friday : Car Show
Sat. : Cruise-in
The mustangs are awesome, the people are great and you wouldn't want to miss ANY of the events!!!!! I don't know about hotel accommodations because we stay in my parents house. 2010 will be our 4th year, it gets bigger and better every year. Deff worth the trip!!

What to expect....The single best event on the east coast period. As far as things to do, the sky is the limit, movies, live entertainment for the family, family friendly events, night clubs, theme park, MANY local eateries, cruise in's, tons of shopping and the list could go on. Getting a hotel during Mustang Week really ins't hard, but the reason why alot of us on here book early is due to the rates and the location/area that you are wanting to stay at. Personally I stayed on the strip for 7 years but in 2007 I made the change and stayed closer to the Mustang Week events for 08 and will stay in that location again from now own. In a nutshell hotels around their are easy to find, but what really determines where I would stay is how clean the rooms are and please feel free to ask around on here, memebers of the site will deff tell you and reccomend places.

Is there a single cost or is it pay for each event you go to?

All of the events are free with the exception of the admission fee's at the 2track events and the entry fee for the car show.

Let me just tell you that Mustang Week was like the coolest, greatest week of my life besides the week I got my foxbody hehe Any mustang freak who doesnt come to Mustang Week is truly missing out... The Mustang Week Staff really work hard to make Mustang Week what it is and they do a great job  We stayed at Holiday Sands South and I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel and its location...especially since SEFB was right across the road hehe :D  Your Mustang Fever turns into a disease at mustang week haha

I like the way you put that, "your mustang fever turns into a disease..."!!
But it hurts soooo good, I can't wait 'til July 19, 2010!!!!!!!! And fortunately for all of us, there's no cure for this disease!!! LOL

Al thanks for the invite. I just took the time off from work but not sure when I would be going down. Where are you staying? Cost of the hotel? I have never been to MW but it sounds fun. I posted something on BOMC but no replies.

I'm staying at the Holiday Sands South. I got my room for $563.00. I check in on the 17th and check out on the 24th. They have rooms for cheaper but i decided on a bigger room with a full kitchen.
