Well, did my taxes this weekend and im expecting a nice check. :D

I was doing some research and because I want to spend a little money on upgrading my Stock 05 Mustang GT. I clicked on this link from this site and found this very interesting Ram Air CAI...

http://www.wmsracing.com/wmsweb/05hvi.html

Was wondering what others thought of this or if anyone has purchased one and what their expeince with this product was..

I was definetly thinking about getting one with a tuner...

Theres a 95mm and an 80mm.. Both are the same price so im not sure what the difference is other than the 95mm lets more air in...

any thoughts?.. would also like to do an exhaust upgrade... thinking about a simple set of Flowmaster Mufflers..

I have a WMS CAI on my 97 Cobra. Western Motorsports is a very good company to deal with. They were very helpful with me, when I purchased, and have, also, helped with inquiries at a later date. I am pleased with the CAI, very nice looking product.

You are looking at new MAF? Are you running a supercharger? I have always read that the bigger MAF will not be beneficial, unless you are running a supercharger.

the sct is the best option on a hand held tuner hands down! it's the only thing i have used and will use.

Ive decided on the SCT and JLT CAI and may throw caution to the wind and get some Pypes Violator Exhaust. Dont think ill do the Xpipe this time around unless it makes that much of a difference... im still doing some research on that...

Thanks for all the advice! :)

The X pipe makes all the diference,,,totally changes the sound.. well worth the money, daughters 06 GT has one by Pypes ,you wouldnt believe the difference,GREAT

I really appreciate everyones advice. It has definetly helped.

Definetly getting the JLT CAI + the SCT Tuner.

Pypes Violator Exhaust, but a little torn on the xpipe... This is my first major upgrade im doing so im doing as much research as possible.

O/R Xpipe or Street legal? If I go with O/R, (I live in NC), what kind of possible issues will I have with inspections, laws ect...

Also, worried about installation. I like to do my own work, but I do not have a lift or welding equipment.

This car is my daily driver and I cant be without it. I would like to do the installation over a weekend....

thanks again for the advice

Thought I would post a reply... :) Ordered my JLT Cai+ Sct X3 Tuner. WoW. SO much more throttle response... I havent opened it up yet cause its late and I just finihsed installing it but I can tell the difference at idle already.

I ended up ordering the SSS Terminator Axle Back exhaust system instead of the Pypes. Main reason was from the clips I heard, the SSS had a deeper sound. May have made a mistake though cause I just got a call from the shop I ordered them from and they are saying they have 1 pair left in inventory and they are scratched. Great! I asked him to send me pics so I can see the scratches but I havent reveived them yet...

I got the SSS last night. I love the sound. They were exactly what I was looking for. I wasnt really after loud so much as I was something a little deep... There is some drone around 60 mph, but its not to bad and 5 mph above or below and it goes away..
