Great deal !
Just booked in the Condo for monday through sunday, see all 'yall in a few months
My buddy and I stayed there last year in the Condo section and were very pleased, we went over to the hotel part one night and weren't as impressed but if you can spring for the extra few bucks I highly suggest the Holiday Sands South Condos. The 35% off discount is even more reason. I had booked a five night stay at 20%, just called and got them to change it to 25%. I also got the Coupon in the mail for 10% off at check-in, so I'm set :-)

Stayed in the Tiki hut (old hotel) side across the street last year.
SE Foxbody crew was awesome.
Room was CHEAP, smelled like the beach and it had it's shortcomings. But the sheets were clean, the A/C was cold and it was CHEAP, haha.

Does anybody know if holiday sands south beach has fixed the curb at the exit from the parking deck? I know mine and all my buddies cars will bottom out BAD if they haven't. If noone knows about this I will check it out next week when I go on my family vacaion and get an answer and a solution by time mustang week gets here!

so when I went to MB at the beginning of June I asked the HSS staff about parking and they said that they will have the parking lot across the street reserved for mustangs only...which doesn't make me happy b/c when I was down there the first night I caught a guy breaking into cars in the Regency Towers parking lot right beside the HSS condos. I did ask them if we had somebody watch out for us and open the gate at the entrance of the parking deck if that was ok, they said they don't recommend it but they didn't say NO! DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS FROM WHAT THEY HAVE DONE IN THE PAST YEARS??? IF SO PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

when i stayed there in 05 they had guys watching the lot 24/7. it was just some night owl mustangers though that partied all night long in the tiki spot rite next to the lot. it was very good to know they were there though.

Come out of the parking deck yes unless you come out the entrance and enter/exit out of the holiday sands south hotel parking not (not the condo lot). My car is lowered 2" all around and it will bottom out like something bad no matter how much of an angle I take the curb!

thanks for that info, guess I will have to wait until I get there to see what I want to do. I don't keep anything in the car worth stealing, so parking across the street wouldn't bother me, but would like to park in a covered area.

My parents and i have stayed there for the past 3 years. and we always parked in the reserved parking lot across the street which has its way of getting into off the street beside it, which will cause no damage to your car. There was a security guy that went around on a golfcart and made sure things were okay. We never had a problem with anything. :)

question for the ones staying in the condos. how are you getting your cars out of the parking deck? mine scrubbed coming up the levels and there is NO WAY i can get out the exit onto the street. the only thing i can figure out is to have someone open the gates up that you enter from and drive back out the entrance.
and whoever is driving the black deanli, sorry for setting off your alarm with my bike tonight :D

See this is what I was talking about earlier in this thread but nobody believed me!!! We are planning on exiting just how you described and if their staff has a problem with it they can't say I didn't tell them so back in May when I was there!

i'm not going to attempt it with mine. i have to hit the entrance almost sideways, so i dont think the exit would work without ripping something off:mad:

if you enter in the hotel side and cut through to the parking deck you should be fine cuz its pretty smooth. Have you tried coming out of the entrance of the parking deck yet? If so, how is that working for ya?

the car has been sitting in the deck all day. i may be getting it out tonight but deff tomorrow morning to wash it.
BTW does anyone know if we still have access to the water hose beside the parking lot or is it off limits since the detail place is over there this year?

I was wandering about washing cars? I know in the past HSS has had a Hose to do it...just wandering if I need to stop before I get in at a car wash or is there a place to hose down after I get in?

i ended up going to the car wash at 19th st this morning. i got out of the deck by going back out the entrance and having my wife open the gate for me
BTW anyone know who had the 05-09 mustang that was double parked in the first level of the parking deck this morning? i heard someone from the hotel talking about having it towed since it was parked across 2 spots. i didnt see it when i came back. just wondering if it got towed out?????

You are supposed to have access to the car wash behind the Tiki building. Just tell the detail guy you want to get to the hose.

I have figured out that you can go out the entrance. You just have someone else with you to get out and swipe your room key. Works great!

What do you mean by updateing it? I have a moto droid.
Dial *228 on your phone and Choose Option 2, update your roaming profile. It didn't help very much for me. The same seems to be the case with alot of motels though, just don't get very good signal with all the steel.
