I need suggestions, idea's and what nots. This car has been like this for 2 years now and it's time to start playing with it again. Suggestions on what you think would look good and any idea's are wanted. My lambo doors are coming off when I get the money. I also sold the wheels and am getting the 18in chrome Saleens. The car was at Mustang Week last year so you may have seen it may not. IF I can get it finished I will bring it down again this year. Anyway pics below so comment on what you would do it it.

Keep it a two tone paint scheme, Possibly silver on the bottom and Black or reef bule for the top half. 35% smoke tint on the windows, and add a black on black interior. Keep it simple and clean. That is my .02 worth.

See ya there, Rusty

I think the wheels will change the car a lot. I wouls see what that does first. Its has its own look & thats always good in a sea of Mustangs.

It has a very unique look already. Unless you are just not satisfied, I'd leave it be and just change wheels. That can sometimes make a huge difference.

Well I went and talked with a guy on a few things. The tint is coming. The interior I am working on.. just not sure I like the tweed inside ( I know it seams like rice ) only cuz you dont see it and I like to stand out. ANYWAY I talked with a guy about taking the 1/4 windows out and making that whole piece back there solid and smooth. Not a bad price so thats going to be one change. btw the wing is also gone THANK GOD WHAT WAS I THINKING. New trunk below.
sorry its blury its the best I can find right now. also all the writing is off too lol.

When I look at the back of it,it looks like it need some tailpipes...Maybe just a slip on extention....but the factory( I assume they are factory) just dont do the car justice

Why are you getting rid of the Lambo doors? Are you tired of the look or are they starting to sag, or is it a pain in the ass to get in and out of?

No they are easy to get in and out of. EXPECIALY seeing as so far this year the car has about 20 miles on it. It never see's the road. They aren't sagging but u can see where they have chiped the paint. They where on the car when I got it... so I never priced it to take them off just kinda bit the bullit. I like the look cuz its not somthing you see everyday. I just dont like the chips in my 6 grand paint.

Yea the pipes are factory I actualy have some 3in on there now. All the pics are from Mustang Week 06.

I say keep the doors but get them slightly modified so they don't ruin your paint job. The doors are one of the things that make you stand out. Out of all the pics I've seen of Mustang Week your car stands out. As far as changing the look you're on your own. I don't take advice from other people on what to do with my car unless they have something on their's that I'm considering doing. One thing I will say is that get rid of those 18 inch Saleens wheels because every car out there is going to have them and you'll look like everyone else. I made the same mistake and now I'm scrambling around looking for a unique wheel that will make me stand out but not "Pimp My Ride". Other Mustang owners have tried to talk me out of the Lambo doors but these are the same people that have the run of the mill wheels and interior upgrades that you see on every other Mustang at a show. Standing out in a crowd cost big money. Paint, wheels, body kits, custom seats, wings, stereo equiptment, superchargers, brake upgrades, complete suspensions, crate motors and exhaust have easily put me over $45,000 but its all worth it when you get to Mustang Week, Ford Nationals at Carlisle, and other events. Cars like your's have motivated me to make my car a show car. I never met you but I can tell you know what to do to stay ahead of the comp, you've already done it once and I cant wait to see what you bring this year. I have faith you'll have your project dont in enough time to make it, good luck. You can check me car out at this link:http://www.vettetech.com/projects/96mustang/aarons96.htm
Now I still have to do the body kit, lambo doors, interior, stereo, pick out a custom paint job and wheels before Mustang Week. I know if I can get this all done so can you. Again, Good Luck!

No bigger than 18's!!! 20's are just plain stupid on any sports car.

I dissagree, in my opinion that's still a conservative mind state and you dont have a conservative car. I would personally recommend 19's for your car. The 19's will accent your body kit without overshadowing it. We're in a new era of car performance and styling. 20's on our bodystyle may be a bit much for your taste but once again everyone goes with 18's because they are scared to be different. The 20's that I've seen on show Mustangs look awesome but probably suffer in performance.

It is your car and you can do what ever you want to it. But if you want to see some stangs with 19's,20's or whatever go to www.svtperformance.com and do a search under the pics and videos forum. There are a few pics on there with 20's. Just remember the shorter the sidewall on the tire the harsher the ride and with a short sidewall you will have little to no traction, but if it is going to be all show and no go then that is the look for you.
