last years was miserably hot out... Had to be like 110 outside at the meet and greet and just as hot for the cruise-in.

I agree. This year was much cooler..I had to laugh because Chrissy had on flip flops last year that melted to the hot pavement. We still laugh about that.:D

W3RD!!! It was REDICULOUS hot the past 2 years. Compared to 05 & 06, this year's weather was very pleasant!!! I don't think we could have asked for better weather all week.

Thanks for the '08 dates.
We will be there along with hopefully our '83 GT.
I personally know what it takes $$ to have produced the trophy's, banners, t-shirts ect. I am the Sales Manager for a compnay that does embroidery, screenprinting & promotional items.
The t-shirts were a steal at $20.
The set-up costs(screen & film charges) alone would have run approx. $300 - $400. Not to mention is you had to pay any artwork charges.
I also know what the trophy's run - they aren't cheap.
Some people(general public - no one on the forum) think plastic (actually acrylic) is inexpensive - NOT - it's more expensive.

Congrats to all of the MW Staff and the MOB Staff for making our first year at MW memorable.

Keep up the good work - it is really appreciated.

This is JP,my wife just told you her job and now here is mine.
I am head of security/maint. at Renningers Twin Markets in Mt Dora , Fl.
We also have 2 markets in PA. and have been in the antique / flea Market buisness for over 50 years. This location since 1983, I have been here for 12 myself.We have 700 year-long ant/flea mkt vendors on 120 acres,also monthly antique fairs (200-300 additional dealers),monthly Car/Cycle Swap meet and show, Bi-annual Craft shows, annual Indian Pow-Wow, annual Civil War re-enactments,Music Fests, and other events. Our 3 big antique shows in nov, jan and feb draw between 1200-1500 dealers from across the country.Last year on one weekend we had our normal market , car show and a circus.

We are still learning new ways to accomplish things at every event and realize we can not please everyone. My boss once told me the showers were too hot , two people complained, this was out of several hundred that used them. I was told to turn them down that night and next day 50 said they were too cold....HUH !! Believe me , I know the work behind the scenes that nobody knows about.

Anyway , I have seen successes and flops and yours was impressive , couple small issues that others have hit upon, sure your team can handle these. Thanks for a great family vacation !!!!

Sorry to be so long-winded but had to chime-in.We also told many tourists about this site that wanted to know "whats goin' on", everyone should keep in mind they may be reading our posts . Seem they enjoyed being there also , constructive critisism is fine but all the bickering may sour their attitude towards "those car-guys"

I can't wait for next year. I'm planning on bringing my personal car next year to cruise around in. Hopefully it look a little diff. by next year if I can find some time in between shows to get some mods done to it.
