I can see where you are coming from and I can respect that. Everyone knows what an opnion is like, but if those people who were running off their mouths were raised right they would know how to keep their mouths shut. There is something out there for everyone, reguardless of what it is, what it looks like, what color it is, what it has under the hood, what model it is, etc! I too over heard many retarded comments made by others, but I managed to keep my cool and just let it go. With that being said I really could care less about what others think about what I drive, it is what I like and what I own. Where I'm from I call these people " HATER'S". I dont think its jealousy, and what Im about to say isnt meant to hurt anyones feelings, but there are 2 things about your car that invoke a few things in certain types of ppl. #1 its 6 cyl and in a lot of ppls minds anything less than an 8 is a waste in pony/muscle car. The only car I can think of that doesnt invoke that is a Grand National. Now theres 2 ways to solve that problem. Either boost it or swap in a 8. #2 would be the way it looks. The flashy paint, and lambo doors. Now to me Im one of those "to each his own" kind of guys, but that turns a lot of so called purist off. Personally I like the lambo doors, but more so on a vert than a hardtop car. I didnt look to see what yr your car is but if its a 95 or older heck Id just find an old 351 block and go from there. Especially if you own the car outright. If you dont like the paint its cheaper to paint one than buy a new one.... you shouldnt let other ppl dictate to you what you build though. Do what you want the way you want it. Its not your car for nothing.

Ask any car guy over 30 what their first car was and the ones that still have it will proudly show it off.The ones that didn't (like me..1972 Charger SE 400)
only have the stories , memories and regrets for not holding on to it no matter what it was.
Also I remember while we were showing off our mustangs (either v6 or
blown v8) during the strip take-over on friday, that a couple guys in shorts, flip-flops and riding 50cc scooters kicked all ours butts!!

Hey man I not saying be ashamed of the V6, but I drove a 4 cyl. in the foxbody cruise and if you never pop the hood they will never know. I go to school with a guy that has a V6 and we give him greif but its all in fun. Pull a vacuum line off and tell everybody its a 4.6 with a procharger.

Everyone has different taste about cars and some people just dont have the respect to keep it to them selfs. I personally am not a fan of your car for a number of reasons, but if you like it that is all that matters. The reason I thinky you get a lot of the grief stems from the following things

-First the car is a V6, but is dressed up to seem fast(ie prostars, big back tires, exhaust)
-The lambo doors are alot of times associated with imports and is not liked by some die hard domestic guys
-To me the wheel/tire combo needs some work. The offset of the rear wheels are way off and skate the wheels way to far out(needs more backspacing)
-Lastly the paint and interior scheme is pretty wild

Like I said you shouldnt worry about what others think. If you like the way it looks then be happy and just ignore the people who are disrespectful.

Hey Lambo, check out stangnet.com, on the home page they have a s197 4.0 car running 10.90's w/a turbo and 75shot. Some folks just don't understand marching to the beat of a different drum. I personally like your car, I looked for it this past week, but never got to see it or meet you. Back when I was into bikes everyone gave me grief about fixing up Honda's, Triumphs, and anything non HD, but that was just fuel to the fire for me to be different. Your car is what you made it, if you want a V-8 go get one, but make sure it's what you want not what "society" dictates.

If you saw my Mustang GT you'll see that it's pretty stock on the outside.

And I know what you are saying I have left the Mustang world for years due to "What have you done to your 6 lately" or "When are you going to buy a real Mustang." What they don't know is that my 6 will run very well up against a stock 5.0 Fox.. I've come back to the Mustang world lately due to getting married two years ago, and he has an '01 GT with some mods.. But you know what... That doesn't stop the Crap... Why don't we sell it and get a Cobra, Mach, or Bullitt. Man, I love our cars.. Our Ins. is a lot lower than others, and we don't have to run the $$$ Fuel... Hubby and I are able to drive our cars daily for a lot less than the higher dollar cars... Your not going to get away from this crap unless you have the Copper Saleen, or Molly Pop.... Or something that is just so out there that no one has something better. But then again you will have those that can't afford what you have making comments about how you should have saved your money and bought three Cobra's for the price of the Saleen. Like someone stated earlier... As long as people are talking about your car, they at least noticed it...

Lambo, FYI... I help with the Reg. at the car show and judge sheets... I was AMAZED at how many V-6's were in the show... Very shocked... If you can get $14 for a '98 V-6 that is great.. But I hate to see you sell Your car, the one you have modified to be yours, because of Jerks that own Mustangs and don't have any manners.

Victor, Hey... Like I posted to Lambo, I left the Mustang world due to the V-6 crap and with the poor workmanship on my car, I just didn't want to hear all the crap.. But I am back. I still have old blue.. She would have been at MW if the A/C was working. Hubby and I were there in his Red GT, we are members of the MOB and helped with parking, judging, ect.. I kept my eyes open for you, but we were so busy. :( I was the six and a half month Pregnant one w/Staff shirt on Fri.

I have heard lots of "why did you buy a 6er" comments in the last two years since I have purchased my 04 V6 vert. I love my mustang and that is what matters. I have my reasons for owning a 6er and those that know me know why I am not driving a GT or Cobra. To each their own.
