How many of experienced funny reactions to your car while driving around?
* A guy rejoyced to his girl he had out run a Cobra at the stop light and we didn't know we were racing!
* Mini van racing his engine while waiting for a light to change.
* People hanging out the windows shouting at you wanting you to GO!
* Kids looking back and waving at you...always wave back.
* One guy wanted to know where to buy tickets to MW and how to get a shirt?
* Cars stopping short of the light to take a pic.
* An Excursion of all things reving his engine against his brakes.
* People taking pics of the Stang while you are eating at a restaurant.
* A thumbs up while being passed on #501.
* Plenty of the weird looks like quiten that thing down and get off the road!
Post up some of your experiences from MW.

I too had some of that happen to me, but I thought most of it was too funny!

I was in the parking deck at my hotel and a little girl put her hands over her ears and started running toward her room. I guess the whine of the sc was too much for her.

I had a 4 year old boy ask me if he could borrow my car when he grew up. My GF is still talking about how cute he was.

Two young boys came up to me while I was getting fuel on the way back from the show Friday and asked if I was part of the "Mustang Gang" ??? I said, "yep, I am". They said..."Cool !!!". Then they asked how much horsepower my car had, and I told him 550 hp at the crank, he ran across the parking lot to his Dad yelling, "Dad, you gotta come see this Mustang !!!!".

Also on the way to the car show, there was this chick driving a black fox body with SC plates, that I gave a friendly blip of the throttle to say hi to. She got all offended and called me a homo. My daughter asked, "Doesn't she speak Mustang????" "That's how we say hi back home to another Mustang, right Mom?"

lots of thumbs up when we cruised around with 10 or more black stangs together.

It was priceless the looks and hollars we got when we hooked up with the YMR and did a BMC/YMR cruise, black in the left lane, yellows in the right and then a few miles later, switched to black yellow black yellow. It was an awesome sight and the people on Ocean Ave loved it.

I always get reactions from the young kids, Car is Yellow with the Black stipes. They think it is a transformer. LOL! one thing I was a little upset was all the young guys in the Cobras and 90's vintage cars who were egging it on to race down the street. I't seemed to me it was not the time or the place. Not to say I have never "ran" on the street, but there was way to much traffic and it does not promote a very good image for the event. That said I had a great time and look forward to next year!

This thread already has been worth the posts! I agree with Donna as many experiences outside of the event areas are PRICELESS and a major part of MW! I also had a group ask me to start the car at the Hotel and I did only to see and hear a little girl run to her mom and cry. I felt so bad I went to her desperately looking for candy I had stashed and made a little friend apologizing to her. She was a little doll!

I had a young man at the Christian Worship Center embarassed he was using a cell phone to take pics in front of his friends but he didn't stop! It was unusual to park a Stang at the entrance to a Church!!! Oh well the Pastor asked me to. LOL!

I have on you may enjoy...

I was pulling my car around from the front of the hotel to park and unload our luggage. My wife walked over and found a space on the end, so she stood there till I came around. In the meantime, a black Honda S2000 came around and was going to take my space. The guy in the honda said something to my wife about parking there. She replied, no... this space is saved for a mustang. He got all pissed off and reved his engine. All I could hear was his fart can muffler. I was laughing at him while I was backing into my space. I thought that was priceless....

My exhaust set off the car alarm on a red Camaro Sat. nite @ the Patricia Grand parking deck around 11pm. (Did anyone hear it?) Man was it loud in there. The security man came running.

On Sunday I was in the elevator wearing my Mustang Week shirt. A guy points at my shirt and tells his buddy "That is why we saw so many Mustangs". They were setting at a bar on the strip taking a drink every time they saw a Mustang. He said "We got so plastered". I just laughed.

I love the reactions i get from my car, but the highlight was driving past the Beach Bar on ocean blvd on strip takeover night. I pulled up and some drunk old lady started screaming "I cant hear you"! Had to give her alittle taste of my 80 series flows with Mac H-pipe, i swear the bar got 3 times louder, lol

i've never had so many full sized vans throw revs at me before this week.

then we had the kids asking us if the car would spin the tires, so i reved it and they all went nuts. i guess they didn't even need the tires to move! lol

the best was when dark angel started her car on sat for a girl to hear and there was a guy and his girlfriend standing in back of the crowd, the girl asked her boyfriend what is all that noise coming out of her car? he said just look at the sticker on the trailer, these are all some bad muthers rite here!

The looks from all the people on Ocean Blvd from North Myrtle to South Myrtle when cruising all yellows together. One after another, people could be heard saying..." 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 ,7 , 8, 9 holy cow look at all those yellow mustangs" Only 13 down the blvd this year, but last year when we had 75 or so, everyone just stopped what they were doing and watched. The same reaction when we cruised down with Black Mustang Club which was awesome :D

After a red or orange turbo was reving at me on the strip, I looked at him and said I do not want to race...I got pulled over. The cop said it was my car making the "swoosh" sound. I tried to explain it was not me. I know my car is loud, but the turbo guys was gasing and reving his car. Anyway after he wrote me the ticket he said, his other cop friend wanted to know what that noise under the hood was from anyway...I was like damn!!!! I said um...a blow off valve? ;)

Coming back to MB from drag night at Darlington, we were stopped at a light by a Toyota or Nissan dealer on 501 that had just shut off it's lights for the night. When the light changed, I took off, getting on it a bit, and all of a sudden all the lights of the new cars parked facing the road started lighting up and flashing and then we heard the alarms. The lights lit up one by one as we drove by. My daughter asked if we could drive back by the next night and do it again. Makes me love my Mac ProChamber and Borla Stingers all the more !!!

Some of these are good... Thanks for sharing...

Mine isn't all that exciting but I laugh everytime I think about it. A couple of MWs ago I was leaving the hotel in my Mustang when a Camaro was coming at me. He stopped and asked me why all the Mustangs were in town.. "Mustang Week." I think he knew he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.. Maybe that is why he was on one of the back streets and not on Ocean Blvd. :)

Told him about them and he said "Hold on I have to show my daddy." Boy came back dragging his dad behind him and I meen dragging. "daddy look at this car!!! I want a car like this when I am older!!!!! Then the boy asked if he could sit in it. I said sure go ahead. Boy screamed out.. ""DADDY!!!!! Take a picture I am driving a hot rod!!!" Hey Charles, I'll never forget Pastor Shaun coming out of the Church cause he heard your Cobra over the worship band practicing. That was awesome! Last Friday I dropped my 9 yr old off at school, the kid who opened the door to let her out smiled and yelled to his friend "Ha I got the Mustang!" I reved it up a little pulling off and he was all grins!

Emily was with me behind his car and all the sudden she yells out, "Daddy that's what a Mustang say, it say WHOOM!!!" We all cracked up. Charles you car does sound awesome!

I am always amazed by how many people had no idea what was going on. I wished I had a dollar for all the people who said, "So that's why there are so many Mustangs running around!" And that was usually followed by, "I have to remember this for next year!"

Thanks for bringing this up, I'm a newbie this year, so I'll definately be keeping this in mind for anything interesting that might happen. Funny thing is, I live in Myrtle, but something tells me, my day to day driving will change for that week, at least in "civilian" responses. This is going to be wicked!

A little first grader at my school asked me if my Mustang is fast (yes)...then asked me if I ever got pulled by the cops (no)...THEN proceeded to tell me that I should paint flames on the hood of the 'Stang because it would "look real cool and fast!" (never):D He also told me that he was going to be a policeman when he grew up, but that he wouldn't write me any speeding tickets...he would just tell me not to drive so fast...heehee!!

Some of you may know BonesGT...

My wife came up to Greenville for a long weekend and we decided to take a ride to a small GTG near Ashville. Bones came with us and sat in the front. On the way back we stopped at a light... A new style Bug pulls up with very nice looking young ladys in it. Bones noticed them looking and waived! From then back seat, my wife pops him in the head and says "They aren't looking at you, they are looking a my husbands car and don't be trying to use it to pick up woman!!!" :D

We'll see ya soon Bones!! :p
