For those who trailor thier cars to MW. After our first years events with our gt 2 years ago ( blew a spark plug out of the head with no tools or anything ) and this year the car over heating and taking out the water pump and thermastat we decided we will trailor our car next year.

We currently dont own a truck or trailor but thankfully we have family and friends for this! lol Mother and law and my father both have F150s and as for trailors my uncle has a light duty dual axle hauler.. doesnt have any kind of ramps for it..a good friend of ours has a heavy duty dual axle trailor the kind meant to haul a car on. soo what makes for a SAFE car hauler??? How much would a good used one cost to pick up ect.. someone school us on this issue so we can start looking for something of our own maybe.

I will be trailering down my TT 92GT nexy year . I bought my dual axle tcar trailer for 800.00 and all it need was repainting and repacking the wheel bearings and a winch. Check the axels and see if there is a tag that indicates how much weight the axels are rated to hold. Around here ramps can be fould everywhere or just have someone weld you up a set. Before you go and buy one take the trailer for a test pull and see how it feels beign pulled down the road and make sure that it doesn't bounce any. Then load the car on it and take it out for a 2nd test pull and see how it feel to you,

We have trailored our car to 2 events this year. One was All Ford Nationals in Carlisle, PA and Mustang Week. This is the only way to go. I even helped out one of our YMR guys when his throttle cable broke. I saved him a tow bill buy picking it up for him and taking it to Myrtle Beach Ford. Here is the pic of mine below...

I got mine at PRFAUTOMOTIVE.COM they are really a nice trailer and a good guy that sells them. Mine is 20ft with shield somewhere around 3500.00$ depending on add ons. You also can get various colors to match your car. If you want a real good car cover go to search and look at The Canvas Shoppe.

I'm just tired of breaking things away from home. Last year I shreaded a belt and limped the car home. This year, I lost a clutch and had to ride in the rollback that towed me home. It would be much better if I could just haul it to and from. That particular seller has the 16' tilt trailer listed for $2295 before adding spare tire, etc.

I just bought a 20 ft enclosed trailer used for $4200. It is the best purchase I HAVE made fo my MACH-1. It is so nice to clean the car and pull it off the trailer clean and ready to go on the show field. To me it is like having a second garage. Make sure if you get a trailer get one with at least 2 3500lbs axles. 2 5000lbs is better but not the cheapest either. The only trouble i have with trailering my car is how to secure it down.

Talk to chuck BadAss1993 about securing.. I saw him load up his fox and my cobra and he did an excellent job at securing them!

Go to a local trailer supply, farm supply or even a motorcyclye shop and get you some recessed D-rings. I bought 4 of them for my trailer for $35.00 and I then purchased 4 - 10,000 lb straps and hooks. I have trailered the Cobra to the Bristol FFW for the last 2 years with not a problem.

Here are a couple of pics of my trailer. I started out with a black slant tail car trailer and fixed it up from there. The polished aluminum wing I mounted up front was donated to me by a gentleman who had a wrecked Kenworth tractor. He asked if I wanted it and I asked how much and he said nothing just come and get it. Its taken a while to get it where I want it but I am very happy with the end result.

The extra top boards are for when you do not realize the car's doors will not open up with you sitting in it. Oops.

Enclosed trailers are the best if you can afford one. I upgraded from a 24 ft to my current 28ft that has lots of cabinets and storage for all the gear required for showing and racing.

Now THAT is the perfect set up!! My cobra was loaded down with soooo much stuff going down it was cazy. Since its a vert the trunk space is cut down a bit. The backseat was slammed full of stuff.. I still havent gotten the car 100% cleaned out! But this 100*+ heat isnt helping anything!
