I was wonder where people tie down there 99-04 Mustangs at on the underbody when trailering. I have racheting tie downs but they bind up at times because of how much slack there is on them. Pictures would be helpful to see.

Some strap them down by using the web type of tie downs that go over the tires and using anchor points on the trailer. I have trailered mine all of by using the winch cable attached to the k-member and a chain over the rear axle. By using the chain on the rear and the winch cable on the k-member the car is very stable. I take out as much slack out of the chain on the rear and then use the winch to pull the cable tight and keep tension on the winch cable.

i use 4 ratchet straps. two on the rear end axle tubes, and two on the front 1 on each a arm. i also put blocks in the front screwed to the trailer, and after the car is tied down i use 2 blocks behind the rear tires as well.

I was told by my Ford service reps to go around the A-arms. I do it on the front and the IRS on the rear of the Cobra. I wish I had a pic but I forgot to snap a couple while she was on the trailer.

I use 4 straps as well. 2 on the front A-arms and 2 on the rear IRS. I also use 4 of the LONG axle straps, so the ratchets have a little more clearance. Make sure you pull the slack out of the line before you start to ratchet them tight, it'll make life a lot easier :D
