First off,I must say..I am surprised by everyones reaction over everything.......For the life of me I cannot understand why there is so much complaining, and bickering.......Can anyone here can honestly say they did not have a good time at MW?? If so you do not deserve to be behind the wheel of such a prestiegious vehicle.....Yes that is my personal feelings on it........Even a select family member of mine complained and I told him the same thing.....I hold nothing against anybody, but dang people.....I had 3 of my 4 cars down, even showed one of them. Its not the nicest thing in the world, but its no piece either,I didnt win anything...but do you hear me complaining???? NO!!! Sure the criteria was laid out,as what was expected at the show, but who is to say that more than just the basics was judged.....No body knows except those who actually judged the cars, and for anyone to call them out and question them,is down right rude, and disrespectful.
I dont know what everyones take on the week was,but by reading many of your post, and or threads. It seems most of us have lost sight on exactly what MustangWeek is all about...Its NOT about winning best of show, doing the biggest burnout, running the fastest time at the track,or even fighting between two internet based clubs. No its all about bringing the Mustang community closer together, and having a good time. Somewhere in the past year,we all have lost that mentality, and gotten way off track. In the 6 years of MW,and even before that, the MW staff has done everything in their power to ensure everyone has a great time, and always leaves us with something never to forget. As I bet many of you, that have attended in previous years, can instantly rattle something off that you remember about last years MW that stands out in your mine,as well as the year before that and so on. I must say, this year thought that will be left in my mind for years to come,is the many of many of friends that I got to see again, the new ones I meet, all of the club members I talk to day in and day out,and many of my family members that call Badmustangsclub.com home.I know the MW staff is allready hard at work preparing for next years MW.They know what changes need to be made,if any,to ensure that MW08 is bigger and better than ever......

I fully agree. I think the show shouldnt be the biggest part of Mustang Week. It needs to be more about having fun and hanging out. I know that I had the most fun I have ever had cruising with all of the foxes and parking with everybody else at the cruise in on Saturday. My car is not a POS but it is a 4 cylinder with some body damage, its a daily driver, and I still had people looking at it at the cruise in and that was the best feeling. MUSTANG WEEK IS ABOUT HAVING FUN NOT HAVING TITLES OR PLAQUES!

Very well said.....However there really isn't that many people complaining. I know we have had a couple threads about the car show judging, but in the grand scheme of things the number isn't that great considering the numbers that attend the event. We all know that you cannot satisfy everyone and people are bound to get upset at something.
I was a little disappointed about the judging, but I voiced my opinion and dropped it. I think that is just my nature and being very competitive. If a referee or umpire makes a call I dont like then I am going to let him know. Same thing I think a lot of people have done on this site with the way things was handled.
No harm no foul, all is well and I will be back next year to check out the awesome cars.

Thanks for the post Chuck! You are very correct in your conclusion that some have lost sight of the original goal, but I have come to reallize that it is only a very, very small percentage that's complaining. We will keep at it and do our very best for '08! Thanks again!

You know what I have not heard a thing about what the raffle prizes we gave an estimated $8,000 worth of great Mustang products. IMHO stuff like that is a lot better than any goodie bag We trade sponsorship for that stuff so you guys get to enjoy that. I know I have a lot of time & personal money in this event & if they only reason you come to MW is to get an award you have came to the wrong show.
My suggestion is no more topics on the show we have looked over what was posted & will do our best to make 08 better.
