Mustang Week History

Mustang Week began as a simple gathering of Mustang enthusiasts and grew into the largest Mustang-focused event in the country.

Built by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts, the event has always been rooted in community, freedom, and a shared passion for every generation of Mustang. Over more than two decades, Mustang Week has evolved from a single event into a national series, with Charlotte, Texas, and a brand-new West Coast experience launching in Summer 2027 that pairs the iconic Fabulous Fords Forever with the energy of Mustang Week. Mustang Week isn’t only about parking your car and popping the hood. Across every event — Charlotte, Texas, and soon Southern California — you’ll find iconic car shows, motorsports, dyno competitions, cruise-ins, merch, and vendor rows featuring the biggest names in the performance aftermarket.

Mustang Week was created by people who live and breathe the Mustang lifestyle. Every sponsor, every vendor, and every activity is chosen because it adds value to the experience.

The goal of Mustang Week and Fabulous Fords is to create the best week a car enthusiast could ever imagine. And with our 2027 partnership with the Ford Car Club Council, we’re bringing Fabulous Fords Forever together with Mustang Week to build the definitive West Coast Ford experience.


A Growing National Footprint

What started as a grassroots gathering is now the #1 Ford and Mustang-focused event series in the country. Mustang Week Charlotte carries the legacy of the original. Texas brings that energy to a whole new region.

And in Summer 2027, we’re heading to Southern California for a first-of-its-kind event pairing Fabulous Fords Forever with the full Mustang Week experience. For attendees, it’s where being obsessed with Fords and Mustangs is completely normal — and absolutely celebrated.

Become a volunteer

Volunteers are at the heart of Mustang Week. You’ll help keep events running smoothly while giving back to the Mustang community. Responsibilities may include assisting with event operations, merchandise sales, and parking and traffic flow.
