Hosted at the Galveston Historic Pleasure Pier parking lot next to Fish Tales Restaurant, this free, official Mustang Week Texas event is where the community comes together from 6:00 PM – 9:00PM on Tuesday night. Set against the iconic Seawall backdrop, the Kick-Off Party is equal parts car meet and reunion. It is laid-back, social, and built for connection. Before the drag passes, drift battles, and dyno pulls take over the schedule, this is your chance to slow down and soak in what Mustang Week is all about.
Expect a strong turnout spanning every era of Mustang performance. From clean street builds to boosted monsters and modern Dark Horses, the lot fills quickly with enthusiasts ready to kick off five days of action the right way. Music keeps the atmosphere lively without overpowering the conversation, and the nearby food options make it easy to grab a bite while you walk the rows and link up with your Mustang family.
The Mustang Week team will be onsite with official 2026 merchandise, giving attendees the opportunity to secure event gear early in the week. If you are a registered participant, pick up your entry wristbands for the week to ensure easy access to all Mustang Week events. VIP package pickup will also be available at the Mustang Week Tent, making this the most convenient time to handle logistics before the packed schedule ahead.
