Track Day Activities Available
Mustang Week Track Day, presented by Tremec, is an exciting day of high performance driving, where drivers hone their skills in street-legal and purpose-built Mustangs, Fords, and Ford-powered vehicles! This event, which is open to everyone of all levels of experience, is the perfect way to enhance your abilities, win prizes and have A LOT of fun, and includes:
✅ Autocross Driving and Dial-in Challenge, presented by BMR
✅ High Performance Driving Experience (HPDEs) on the MSR Road Course
✅ Track Experience with parade laps in your own vehicle around MSR Road Course
✅ Ride-alongs with professional drivers
✅ Open karting sessions and Mustang Cup Challenge, presented by BMR
Track Experience
Track Experience participants will have the opportunity to drive their own vehicle on the 2.4 mile MSR road course, taking “Parade Laps” following an instructor-driven pace car. Track Experience participants can also ride alongside professional drivers as passengers on the MSR road course for an adrenaline rush and experience firsthand the impressive performance of various Ford Mustangs.
High Performance Driving Experience (HPDE)
HPDE participants will get their adrenaline fix and elevate their performance driving skills by piloting their own vehicle through the 2.4 mile MSR road course, with 3-4 sessions throughout the day. Participants will be assigned to a novice, intermediate or advanced run group based on skill and experience. Instruction will be provided, based on experience and skill level.
Autocross, presented by BMR
Autocross is available at MSR/Mustang Week Track Day. The Autocross course will be open for unlimited runs from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM. At 3:00 PM, we will run a dial-in Autocross or Consistency Run format.
Karting, presented by BMR
Open Karting is available through much of the day for anyone purchasing a Karting entry. The Mustang Week Cup is available for racers who want to compete against some of the top drivers and influencers in the Ford community. There will be 16 racers competing in the cup for victory.
How to Register
To participate, visit www.mustangweek.com then purchase a spectator ticket (All-Access grants access to ALL Mustang Week events) and then select your TRACK DAY entry. You can select High Performance Driving Experience (HPDE), MSR Track Experience, Autocross or Kart Racing. You may do multiple events but your ability to participate in everything may be limited based on scheduling.

Tickets:
Tickets are available in advance and well as at the gate. Go to www.mustangweek.com to pre-purchase tickets and race entries. Save time by purchasing in advance. Spectator tickets are $30 at the gate, or you can purchase a $75 all-access spectator ticket for all Mustang Week events. You MUST add your TRACK DAY ENTRIES to your order.
Food and Beverage:
There will be food trucks onsite with food and drinks available for purchase.
Weather Policy:
We run rain or shine. However, in the case of severe weather (lightning, tornadoes, etc.), sessions will pause in accordance with track policies.
Safety REQUIREMENTS
- For Autocross and Ride Along sessions, drivers and passengers must have a Helmet. (2015 or newer Snell-certified recommended)
- For HPDE: Long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toe shoes, plus a helmet (2015-or new Snell-certified helmet is recommended)
- Rentals: A limited number of helmet rentals available at the track for $40 per day through MSR
- Vehicle: ALL Vehicles must be track worthy, in good mechanical condition, and free of leaks.
- Licensed minors must provide a signed “Waiver and Release of Liability and Indemnity Agreement (provided and available by MSR).
AUTOCROSS – Rules & Information
The Autocross course will be open for unlimited runs from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM. At 3:00 PM, we will run a dial-in Autocross or Consistency Run format. A baseline time is established, either by a predetermined run or by a driver’s own initial lap. Competitors then try to match or get as close as possible to that time in subsequent runs.
The goal is precision, not speed—penalties may apply for going too fast or too slow compared to the baseline. The winner will be the person who wins the bracket just like a dial-in drag race. It will be two cars running in the bracket; the one that is closest to their time without breaking out will move on to the next round.
Autocross Sign-In & Tech Inspection
When you go to registration you will receive an Autocross tech card. Fill it out, and take it to the Autocross staging area. Required documents to present:
✔ Valid driver’s license
✔ Proof of insurance
Vehicles must pass a safety inspection.
- Autocross closed course layout with cones, designed and managed by AutoXperts.
- There will be a designated area for pre-run and post-run staging.
- There will be no more than two cars allowed on the course at a time.
- No run limit, the number of runs per driver depends on the number of entries.
- All participants will have access to the autocross track for the full event duration until the dial-in competition begins.
- The dial-in competition is a timed event, focused on consistency, not speed.
- Manual timers will be used.
TRACK EXPERIENCE – Rules & Information
Track Experience participants will have the opportunity to drive their own vehicle on the 2.4 mile MSR road course, taking “Parade Laps” following an instructor-driven pace car. All makes and models are welcome, but drivers must provide a valid drivers license, insurance and registration. Parade lap sessions will be 2-3 laps with one session scheduled at 9:00 am and another at 3:30 pm.
Track Experience participants can also ride alongside professional drivers as passengers on the MSR road course for an adrenaline rush and experience firsthand the impressive performance of various Ford Mustangs.
Parade Lap sessions are at 9:00 AM (AM SESSION) and 3:30 PM (PM SESSION). You may only participate in ONE session unless time/space permits. (Not guaranteed).
Ride along sessions are at 9:30 AM, 11:00 AM, 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM.
HIGH PERFORMANCE DRIVING EXPERIENCE (HPDE) – Rules & Information
HPDE participants will get their adrenaline fix and elevate their performance driving skills by piloting their own vehicle through the 2.4 mile MSR road course, with 3-4 sessions throughout the day. Participants will be assigned to a novice, intermediate or advanced run group based on skill and experience. Instruction will be provided, based on experience and skill level. Group assignments are confirmed at Registration.
Run Group Levels:
- 1 = Advanced: Racing license and/or highly experienced in driving schools or open-track events.
- 2 = Intermediate: Solo driving with experienced driver status and/or experience in driver schools or open-track events.
- 3 = Novice: Limited or no experience, instruction required.
Mandatory Driver Meeting:
ALL DRIVERS, including advanced, intermediate and novice, must attend the Driver’s Meeting at 8:45 AM at the Clubhouse, where track rules, an overview of the track layout and the full-day schedule will be provided. For novice and/or intermediate drivers, a performance driving clinic will equip you with the fundamentals needed to have a safe and fun day on the track.
Tech Inspection:
Completed tech sheets must be provided for each vehicle participating in HPDEs. Tech sheets will be provided at registration/check-in.
Car Sharing & Open Cockpit Cars:
- If sharing a car with another driver, please contact Jason Childress ([email protected]) before registering.
- Each driver must be qualified for different run groups and register separately.
- Open cockpit cars, like a Cobra, must pass the broomstick test to drive on-track. The broomstick test reveals clearance for your helmet clad head while sitting in the driver’s seat with a broomstick (or similar device) set atop the roll bar and the windshield frame. Your helmet clad head must have clearance under the broomstick. A modern convertible Mustang may drive on-track with its top up.
MUSTANG WEEEK CUP – Rules & Information
The Mustang Week Cup will take place on the MSR karting track. The Mustang Week Cup is a karting challenge where participants compete for 10 qualifying spots in the final race against professional drivers or Mustang influencers. The winner of the final race takes home a $500 prize.
- Qualifying will take place find the 10 drivers who will advance to the final round
- Final Race Grid: Up to 16 drivers
- Prize: $500 for the winner
Format & Schedule
1. Qualifying Rounds (Heats)
- Participants are split into three heats of 10 racers per heat.
- Each heat is a 5-minute session (approximately 4-5 laps per racer).
- Fastest lap time from each racer determines ranking.
- Top 10 fastest drivers from ALL heats advance to Cup.
2. Final Race
- The 10 qualifiers compete against pro drivers in a 10-lap race.
- Winner of the final race takes the $500 prize.
Rules
General Rules
- All participants must register in advance (first-come, first-served).
- Participants must be at least 16 years old and sign a waiver.
- Any intentional contact or reckless driving results in disqualification.
Qualifying Rules
- Each racer’s best lap time will determine qualifying.
- The 10 racers with the fastest lap (regardless of heat) will qualify for the Cup.
- In case of a tie, the next fastest lap will be used as a tiebreaker.
Final Race Rules
First racer to complete 10 laps wins the Mustang Week Cup and $500.
Race is grid-start, 10 laps.
No intentional blocking; any aggressive driving can lead to penalties.
Starting grid/qualifying logic will not be released until grid is set.
