In 2025, Mustang Week Texas brought together thousands of Mustang enthusiasts for a one-of-a-kind celebration of performance, heritage, and community. Returning April 14-18, 2026, the annual Mustang event consists of five days of events across Galveston and Houston, once again blending car culture, high-energy action, and the unmistakable spirit of the Mustang.
From the kickoff party on the seawall to the massive all-Ford cruise-in and insane burnout shows, Mustang Week Texas Presented by Late Model Restoration delivers something for every kind of fan. But if there is one day that truly puts you in the driver’s seat of Mustang ownership to life – it’s Track Day.
On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, Mustang Week Texas heads to Motor Speedway Resort Houston for a full day of real, on-track performance driving. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., MSR Houston becomes the ultimate playground for drivers who want to experience what their Mustang or Ford can really do. The 2.4-mile road course is a fast circuit perfectly suited for learning, improving, and pushing your abilities. Whether you are a seasoned track veteran or have never turned a lap before, the Mustang Week Track Day is designed to be accessible, thrilling, and unforgettable.
Track Action
The centerpiece of the event is the High Performance Driving Experience (a.k.a HPDE). Participants get real track time on the MSR circuit with guidance from professional instructors. New to track driving? No problem. Mustang Week offers three run groups: Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced, ensuring that every driver is placed according to their respective skill level after an on-site tech inspection. This structure helps keep the experience safe, smooth, and exciting for everyone. This year, we’ve partnered with MSR Houston to offer private, shaded trackside garages, available for rental alongside your ticket purchase.
For those looking for a different type of competition, the Mustang Week Autocross course will test your handling precision driving abilities. This compact cone course rewards finesse, timing, and car control and is perfect for drivers who want to sharpen their skills in a fun and competitive environment without the higher speeds of the full track. The Autocross will also feature a time-trial challenge that rewards consistency and solid driving.

If you want head-to-head excitement of a different style, the kart racing at MSR Houston delivers exactly that. Go wheel-to-wheel with friends for bragging rights on a track built for competition. Karting is open to participants aged 16 and up, making it a great addition to the full Track Day schedule, available in addition to any spectator or participant ticket.
Track Experience & Ride Alongs
For fans who want a taste of track action without committing to a full HPDE session, the Mustang Week Track Experience offers the best of both worlds. Participants can take parade laps in their own Mustang, then strap in for a pro-driven ride-along. Feeling the full force of the track from the passenger seat is an experience that stays with you long after the day is over.

Just looking to enjoy the action of track day without getting behind the wheel? Come sit back, relax, and enjoy the sights, sounds, and especially the food trucks!
If you plan to run HPDE, drive Autocross, race karts, or participate in the Track Experience, now is the time to secure your spot. Availability is extremely limited, and once the run groups are full, they are full.
