Mustang Week Texas is officially raising the bar in 2026 with the announcement of the new Official Car Show classes, presented by Late Model Restoration (LMR).
The Mustang Week Official Car Show takes place Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Moody Gardens Resort from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and remains the centerpiece of the entire Mustang Week experience. Hundreds of Mustangs from every era will fill the property, from period-correct classics and meticulously restored Fox bodies to modern high-horsepower builds and track-ready machines.
For 2026, Mustang Week is introducing over 40 trophy-eligible classes at both the Texas event. Whether you’re bringing a factory-fresh survivor, a 1,000-horsepower street car, or a purpose-built corner carver, there is a class designed to showcase your build and reward the work behind it.
In addition to class awards, judges, promoters, and special guests will personally select 40 standout Mustangs for special recognition. These hand-picked awards go beyond traditional class boundaries and focus on overall vehicle stuff—stance, detail, execution, and look. Participants don’t need to stress about choosing the right class; the Mustang Week judging team will place each vehicle where it fits best, allowing standout builds to be considered across multiple award categories when applicable.
This updated class structure reflects direct feedback from the Mustang Week community, with several highly requested categories added for 2026. This is the opening class list for the season, and it sets the tone for what will be the biggest and most competitive Mustang Week Texas yet.

Tuesday evening | Galveston Historic Pleasure Pier
Mustang Week Texas 2026 begins the right way with the Official Kick-Off Party, also sponsored by Late Model Restoration, on Tuesday night at the Galveston Historic Pleasure Pier parking lot, right next to Fish Tales on the Seawall.
This kick off party is all about kicking off the week the best way possible. As the sun sets over the Gulf, Mustangs of every generation roll in for an evening of good music, good food, and even better people. The Mustang Week crew will be on site with official merch, giving everyone a head start before the action ramps up later in the week.
As a Texas-based company, LMR is once again bringing a large presence and LMR booth display, and multiple project builds and team members to Mustang Week Texas, making the main Show and Kick-Off Party a true fan-first experience to start Mustang Week Texas.
Late Model Restoration also returns as the presenting sponsor of the All-Ford Cruise-In, happening Friday during Mustang Week Texas 2026. The All-Ford Cruise-In opens the gates beyond Mustangs, welcoming all Ford-powered vehicles. There is also lots of cool stuff happening on Friday at Moody’s, including drifting, the Open Street burnout show presented by Summit Racing and MC’d by Cobra Sam, awesome music, the Drift Battle, and Pro Burnout Testing.
